D’Leonor Inland Resort & Adventure Park – Davao City

Last April my family and I decided to spend some downtime in Davao. Although I love my work there are times when I just need to get away and relax. Davao offers lots of tourist attractions – one of which is D’Leonor Inland Resort & Adventure Park, a resort located in Communal, Davao City. Just a 20-30 minute drive from the city proper.

Since it was still too hot to take a dip in their Wave Pool, we hung out in D’Leonor Cafe for about an hour sipping our chocolate milkshakes.  Then we rediscovered our childhood by trying out their bumper cars! :P Nothing beats this childhood wonder.

I don’t mind walking but the resort was too big to walk around in so we took the shuttle to move from one destination to another.

The Wave Pool and Ranging River are two of the main attractions at D’Leonor Resort. You can take a dip in their refreshing waters or cool off at the open cottages beside the pool area.

The reason why they call it the Wave Pool is because it actually produces waves every 2 hours for 30 minutes. Makes you feel like you are at the beach minus the salt water.  Lol.

Other attractions are the Fishing Grill (with a great view, I might add),  D’Zoo and D’Surf. Those with small children will certainly have their hands full keeping track of their little kiddos running around the place. So many stuff to see, so little time!

Those who want to try surfing can check out D’Surf. It simulates small surf waves and is actually fun to try. However, this may be a bit too tame for surfing enthusiasts.

Travel tip: To get around the resort faster, take a picture of their map. This way, you can plan out your route and avoid wasting time.

Going on vacations is fun. Especially when you get to do it with your family. I’m glad to have been able to bond with my brother and his girlfriend one last time before they flew to Australia.

What do you think of D’Leonor Inland Resort & Adventure Park?
